News of the lawsuits won't help lipltor sales, regardless of their merit, said les funtleyder, analyst for miller tabak! Judgment and are often predicated on patient preference. Factors that contribute to the decision include tachycardia frequency, tolerance of symptoms, and patient inclination relative to chronic drug therapy vs. ablation. The patient must accept and mescaline. Radiofrequency catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation is primarily aimed either to divide the atrial anatomy in a way that does not sustain this arrhythmia even though the initiating potential exists, or to remove the focus that generates the arrhythmia. These foci are generally in one or multiple pulmonary veins which are structures that enter the left atrium from the posterior aspect figure 4 ; . The mode of therapy in an individual patient depends essentially on the pathophysiology of the arrhythmia. The different techniques used to ablate AF of different mechanism is shown in Table VI. Therefore, the atrial mapping during spontaneous or induced atrial fibrillation is an important part of this therapeutic approach. The reduction of atrial mass should be created by using linear lesions in the right and left atrium, the purpose of which is to make impossible the random re-entry of atrial impulses through the atria. To achieve this, lesions need to be continuous, transmural, and connected with other lesions or anatomic structures that cause blockage of atrial conduction. The area between the inferior vena cava and the inferior part of the tricuspid annulus may be critical. TYPES: Low Calorie . Regular . BRANDS: Banquet . Budget Gourmet Light and Healthy Entrees . The parallel supply chain is safe. There has not been a single proven case of a counterfeit medicine entering the legitimate European supply chain as a result of European parallel distribution. This is in large part due to the regulatory checks that parallel distributors have to carry out and to the fact that they must employ a European Qualified person QP ; who guarantees that the quality and effectiveness of these checks. Parallel importers or distributors who repack or re-label products are obliged to open each pack, thereby carrying out an optical inspection of the medicines unpacked. This operation has commonly revealed a number of quality defects of incoming goods. The detection of counterfeit products follows the same logic. When the parallel distributor receives information about a counterfeited product on the market, the quality control QC ; and quality assurances QA ; departments will be informed and controls of product flow for visible differences ; will be double-checked. If a warning concerns specific batch numbers, stocks will be checked immediately, ; concerned batches will be quarantined and the regulator will be informed. The QP will initiate an identification of the characteristics of the product, but the product is effectively taken out of circulation. Optical inspections in combination with keeping stringent batch records, although they cannot guarantee the detection of highly sophisticated counterfeited products, can nonetheless provide a higher barrier to entry of counterfeit or otherwise substandard products. This safety profile is intuitively confirmed by the fact that counterfeiters have very little economic incentive to launch their fraudulent products via parallel distribution channels. This is because volumes are generally low and a sudden increase in volume would be very suspicious; because parallel distributed products are sold at cheaper prices, albeit they are more costly to process; and because PI packages are more difficult to counterfeit as they include different additional labels and stickers. Recent reported cases of counterfeit have shown that fake medicines were either distributed via illegal channels or introduced into the legal distribution system via the regular, not the parallel supply chain. The most high-profile cases of counterfeits that, to our knowledge, featured prominently in the debate of the last five years were Counterfeited Lipitor in the UK in 2006 Countefeited Lipitor in the UK in 2005 Counterfeited Cialis in the UK and the Netherlands in 2004 The information publicly available about these cases illustrate that parallel trade was not the entry point of counterfeit medicines and that parallel distributors were in a position when required to react quickly and effectively to prevent the further distribution of fake products. As Professor Panos Kanavos from the London School of Economics states, "Despite the substantial volume of parallel imported pharmaceuticals in the EU each year, no documented cases of counterfeit drug supply can to date be attributed to this type of trade.
